Las Vegas Dermaplaning
Dermaplaning, also known as “dermablading” is a mechanical skin resurfacing treatment that removes dull, damaged skin layer by layer using a thin, flexible, flat blade. There are no lasers, chemicals, or radio waves involved—only ultra-precise exfoliation that can both target specific blemishes and improve your skin’s overall texture and tone.
How dermaplaning can help
Dermplaning can be a safe, effective treatment for any skin type to:
- Reduce fine lines around the eyes, cheeks, forehead or mouth
- Minimize acne scars, chicken pox scars or other blemishes
- Resolve textural problems caused by sun damage or aging
- Remove “peach fuzz” from the upper lip, temples or other parts of the face
An added benefit of dermaplaning: removing the dull, dead outer layers, your skincare products can absorb more effectively and help make-up go on more smoothly.
What is the dermaplane procedure like?
Dermaplaning is an in-office treatment that requires no anesthesia; however, a numbing agent can be applied to help keep you comfortable. The flat side of a very fine blade is placed on the skin’s surface and moved across using short, gentle and light strokes. This motion removes the outermost layers of skin, exfoliating away dead skin cells, debris and peach fuzz in the process.
We can perform dermaplaning as a single procedure, or combine it with other skin rejuvenation treatments to enhance the results.
Following treatment, you may experience some mild redness, irritation, or tingling in the treated area. These effects are temporary and typically resolve within a few days. Our team will instruct you on post-treatment skincare, including SPF and moisturizers to help your skin heal back beautifully.
When will I see results?
Smoother, healthier-looking skin will begin to emerge about 7 to 10 days, once initial healing is complete and your skin produces new collagen in response to the dermaplaning treatment. For optimal results, patients typically choose to have regular treatments, spaced about one month apart.
- Key Benefits
- Glossary
- Smoother Skin: Dermaplaning removes the top layer of dead skin cells, resulting in a smoother, brighter skin texture.
- Enhanced Skin Radiance: By removing dead skin and peach fuzz, it can give the skin a more radiant and glowing appearance.
- Improved Skin Absorption: The removal of dead skin cells can enhance the absorption and efficacy of skincare products, making them more effective.
- No Downtime: Unlike some more invasive skin treatments, dermaplaning requires no recovery time.
- Immediate Results: The benefits of smoother, more radiant skin are visible immediately after the treatment.
- Suitable for All Skin Types: Dermaplaning is generally safe for all skin types, including sensitive skin.
- Peach Fuzz Removal: It removes fine vellus hair (peach fuzz), which can trap dirt and oils, leading to a cleaner skin surface.
- Non-Invasive and Painless: The procedure is non-invasive and typically pain-free, making it a comfortable skincare option.
- Preparation for Other Treatments: Dermaplaning can serve as an effective preparatory step for other facial treatments, allowing for better penetration and effectiveness of treatments like chemical peels or laser therapy.
- Makeup Application: Post-dermaplaning, makeup can be applied more smoothly and evenly, enhancing cosmetic appearance.
- Dead Skin Cells: The cells that accumulate on the skin’s surface, which can make the skin look dull. Dermaplaning effectively removes these cells to reveal fresher skin.
- Dermaplaning: A cosmetic procedure that involves gently scraping the skin’s surface with a surgical scalpel to remove dead skin cells and fine facial hair.
- Exfoliation: The process of removing dead skin cells from the outermost layer of the skin. Dermaplaning is a form of physical exfoliation.
- Manual Exfoliation: A type of exfoliation that physically removes dead skin cells from the surface, as opposed to using chemical agents. Dermaplaning is a form of manual exfoliation.
- Non-Invasive: Referring to treatments that do not require incisions or penetrate the skin deeply. Dermaplaning is a non-invasive skin treatment.
- Peach Fuzz: The soft, fine hair that grows on the face, which dermaplaning removes along with dead skin cells.
- Scalpel: A small, sharp surgical instrument used in dermaplaning to scrape away the outer layer of skin and fine hair.

- Skin Smoothing: The result of removing rough or uneven skin texture. Dermaplaning provides skin smoothing benefits by exfoliating the skin’s surface.
- Skin Texture: The surface quality of the skin, which can be improved by dermaplaning, resulting in smoother, softer skin.
