Breast Augmentation vs. Breast Lift with Implants
The goal with breast augmentation is not only to increase breast size, but also to improve shape, symmetry and position to achieve a gorgeous, proportional silhouette.
If breast implants alone can provide an aesthetically pleasing shape and appearance, then a breast augmentation alone will be the most appropriate procedure. However, if your breasts are sagging, your nipples point downward, or you have lost considerable breast volume following pregnancy, breast implants alone are likely to only give you larger, sagging breasts. Combining a breast lift with augmentation will probably be necessary to achieve a good outcome.
A breast lift with augmentation usually requires a vertical incision on the lower breast, but Dr. Pancholi’s find this additional scar well worth it to achieve perkier, shapelier breasts.
While Dr. Pancholi’s approach was very different for each of these patients, their final outcome shows a dramatic improvement—both patients have fuller, rounder breast contours that are better proportioned to their unique build.
