Erbium:YAG Laser Peel in Las Vegas
You can make time for more beautiful skinWork or school, hitting the gym, time with friends, not to mention sleep. There’s not enough time in the day as it is—and maybe your skin has paid the price. Fine lines, large pores, roughness, and sun spots are all evidence of the aging process that can sneak up on us, until one day you look in the mirror and think, “is this really how I look?”
These signs of aging don’t appear overnight, and they won’t disappear overnight either. However, you don’t necessarily need to spend hours each day on a skin routine or days recovering from a cosmetic procedure to rejuvenate your appearance. During a “lunchtime” laser peel, our advanced Erbium:YAG laser can help minimize fine lines, balance skin tone, and brighten the complexion with quick treatment and minimal downtime.

- Laser Resurfacing: Another term for laser skin peel, referring to the process of using laser technology to remove the top layers of skin, thereby improving skin texture and appearance.

- Melanin: The pigment in skin that gives it color. Some laser peels target melanin to treat pigmented lesions or for hair removal.
- Non-Ablative Laser: A type of laser used in skin peels that heats the underlying skin tissue without harming the surface, leading to collagen production and skin rejuvenation.
- Recovery Period: The time it takes for the skin to heal after a laser skin peel, which can vary based on the intensity of the treatment and the individual’s skin type.
- Skin Rejuvenation: The process of making the skin look and feel more youthful, a common goal of laser skin peels.
- Skin Texture: The surface quality of the skin, which can be improved with laser skin peels by addressing issues like roughness, wrinkles, and scars.

How the Erbium:YAG laser peels work to rejuvenate your skin
While most laser resurfacing procedures are considered non-surgical, many use intense heat or ablate the skin (remove several layers deep). While such lasers can produce impressive results, they can also require several days of healing time. Not everyone needs that level of treatment to see the improvements they want. Many common skin flaws occur close to the surface and can be noticeably reduced through less invasive treatment.
What can a laser skin peel treat?
Our Erbium:YAG laser concentrates on the skin’s surface, improving discoloration, fine to moderate wrinkles, and dullness with very little downtime after treatment. We can spend the treatment time honing in on specific problem areas, or provide a more general treatment to brighten the complexion. Our patients choose the “lunchtime” laser peel to address a number of common signs of aging:
- Fine lines around the eyes, nose and mouth
- Brown spots, redness and pigmentation problems
- Dullness and textural imperfections
- Surface-level skin aging on the face, hands, chest, or neck
What to expect during your “lunchtime” laser peel
As you likely have guessed, Erbium:YAG laser treatments are designed to take place in a convenient, 60-minute appointment. Very little preparation is required on your part; just arrive at the office without make-up and your prescribed numbing cream applied to your face. After reviewing the treatment goals discussed during your skincare consultation, we will have you wash your face. The Erbium:YAG laser wand is then applied to the skin and traced over the treatment area to deliver the laser energy. Total treatment time depends on the size and location of the treatment area.
Following treatment, you may experience mild redness and sensitivity in the treatment area, and you will need to keep your skin well-protected from the sun. Wearing a high-quality sunscreen is a must. You should avoid strenuous exercise for a day or two, including swimming. Most other daily activities can be resumed shortly after treatment.
While some patients are happy with the results of a single treatment, most find that a series of 2 to 4 treatments, spaced about 3-4 weeks apart, offers the most satisfying results. We will help estimate the number of treatments you might need during your skincare consultation.
