Eyelid Surgery Featured on The Doctors

Why have eyelid surgery? For most people, it’s a simple technique that can take years away from the face, without the need for a more extensive procedure – like a facelift.

However, drooping eyelids can be much more than a cosmetic problem. They can actually make it difficult to see. That’s what happened to 61-year-old grandmother Randy, whose eyelid surgery was recently featured on an episode of ABC’s The Doctors. Her story takes place over the course of three videos.

During a consultation with Dr. Ordon, Randy describes problems with their eyes. She is beginning to find it difficult to see at the edges of her eyes. Despite having good eye health, her eyelids are starting to sag, and as a result she finds it harder to see. In the first video, hosted on The Doctors’ website, you can see an eyelid surgery being performed in Dr. Ordon’s operating room.

In the video, Dr. Ordon carefully removes excess fat and skin. He makes incisions within the natural creases of the eyelid, so that slight scarring will be almost completely invisible. But Randy’s journey won’t end with eyelid surgery. In the next video, Dr. Ordon reveals that she will receive a complete makeover – including hair and makeup at a West Hollywood beauty salon, and a new wardrobe selected by a celebrity stylist.

In the last video, Randy appears onstage 10 days after her surgery and makeover. While the procedure has transformed the appearance of Randy’s eyes, there are no visible signs of surgery. Although the heaviness and excess skin around her eyelids has disappeared, you can see that Randy’s results look completely natural.

With a new haircut and wardrobe, she looks completely different – and like she is about to burst into tears of joy. “I see so much better,” Randy says to a round of applause. “Thank you all so much.”
